A Newborn Baby was Found Dead in ABQ Dumpster

This past legislative session, the Right to Life Committee of New Mexico, along with many Pro-Life legislators, pushed to update the Safe Haven Laws in our state to include “Safe Haven Baby Boxes”.  These lifesaving boxes add anonymity to the surrendering process of a child under 90 days old.

Pro-Abortion legislators fervently fought these proposed changes, preferring dead babies to being perceived as taking a pro-life stance.  Today they got wat they wanted - A newborn baby was found dead in a Albuquerque dumpster.

Where the entire democrat leadership beginning with Speaker Javier Martinez, Majority Floor Leader Reena Szczepanski, Majority Whip Dayan Hochman-Vigil, as well as Committee Chair Christine Chandler, Vice Chair Andrea Romero and Committee Member Michelle Paulene Abeyta voted against the life saving changes needed to maximize baby box availability.

Had these Anti- Life legislators voted to update our current safe haven laws, this newborn baby and her mother would have been given a life saving option today.
