This fall, the International Journal of Women’s Health Care published a study by Paul Sullins of the Ruth Institute and the Catholic University of America. It provides strong statistical evidence that many women who obtain abortions experience emotional distress — even many years after the abortion took place. Unlike previous research, this new study only analyzed women between the ages of 41 and 45. Therefore, among women who have had abortions, the average time between the abortion and the survey was approximately 20 years.

This trend is not driven by local demand, but by an expanding network of wealthy donors, Hollywood celebrities, and billionaire-backed foundations that are actively financing travel, lodging, and abortion procedures for women—primarily from Texas and other states with protective pro-life laws.

Albuquerque, New Mexico — New research shows that national abortion funds, Texas-based nonprofits, and affiliated organizations are dramatically expanding their travel, lodging, and logistical grants to bring out-of-state abortion seekers into New Mexico, raising significant concerns among Abortion Free New Mexico leaders about the state becoming a national hub for abortion-on-demand.

National Right to Life has released a new report, Missed, Misclassified, and Minimized: Why Abortion Pill Complications Are Underreported, by Randall K. O’Bannon, Ph.D., National Right to Life Director of Education and Research. The findings highlight the reasons why serious complications from chemical abortions are often underreported or misreported.

Slowly but surely strong requests from pro-life organizations such as National Right to Life and many pro-life state attorneys general to investigate the safety of mifepristone are getting encouraging feedback from HHS Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and FDA Commissioner Martin Makary.

It has probably happened to you at some point in your life’s journey—you have to excuse yourself from a meeting, a party, or some other event because of a family crisis. There really is no need to explain, because virtually everyone can relate. An incident comes up that is dire, that requires immediate attention in order to be resolved.

I am pro-life for the most essential reason: That’s a baby in there, a human child. We cannot accept as a society—we really can’t bear the weight of this fact, which is why we keep fighting—that we have decided that we can extinguish the lives of our young. Another reason, and maybe it veers on mysticism, is that I believe the fact of abortion, that it exists throughout the country, that we endlessly talk about it, that the children grow up hearing this and absorbing it and thinking, “We end the life within the mother here,” “It’s just some cells”—that all of this has released a kind of poison into the air, that we breathed it in for 50 years and it damaged everything.

Pregnancy can bring about many emotions; sometimes excitement and fear can be conflated when a woman is left without ample support to contend with these feelings, and result in a heartbreaking decision.

In May of 2022, NRLC led more than 70 state, national, and international pro-life organizations in issuing an open letter to the nation’s legislators. We urged them to reject legislation and policy initiatives that would impose criminal penalties on women who have abortions. The argument put forth in that letter still stands.

A bombshell study published Monday has revealed nearly 11% of women experience severe or life-threatening complications after an abortion via the drug mifepristone – a rate that is 22 times higher than indicated on the drug’s label approved by the federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

It breaks my heart to learn the news when an innocent newborn has been mercilessly discarded in a dumpster like garbage. I believe most New Mexicans, regardless of political affiliation, feel the same way. Unfortunately, situations such as this have the potential to be avoided if not for the road blocking which Democrat lawmakers in the Roundhouse have done to proposed fixes to our state’s Safe Haven for Infants Act.

Pro-Abortion legislators fervently fought these proposed changes, preferring dead babies to being perceived as taking a pro-life stance.  Today they got wat they wanted - A newborn baby was found dead in a Albuquerque dumpster. 

Still, the falling numbers hint that attitudes may be shifting. Whether due to local advocacy or changing hearts and minds, New Mexico’s declining abortion rate may point to a quiet but growing movement toward life.

At every level of government—local, state, and federal—pro-abortion Democrats fiercely opposed any legislation that would require administering the same level of medical care to an abortion survivor as they would to any other baby of the same gestational age. And why would you? These live births either (a) are a fantasy of pro-lifers’ imagination, (b) so rare as not to require the “heavy hand/blunt instrument” of legislation, or (c) only involve children who are going to “die anyway.”

Following an abortion, grief is much more common, and more intensely felt, than relief, according to a new study of a random sample of American women.

These new findings starkly contradict the claim of Planned Parenthood that “Over 95% of people who have had abortions say that they mostly felt relief after their abortion.”

Compared to women who had miscarriages or other natural pregnancy losses, women who had abortions had similar levels of grief, depression, and anxiety.  But the latter reported much higher levels of guilt, shame, and regret.

She was haunted by the reality of what she had done. Every kick she had once felt, every heartbeat she had seen on the ultrasound—it was all gone. And there was nothing she could do to bring them back.

Much has been written about how euthanasia in Canada has been used as a cost-saving method because it’s cheaper for the government to offer assisted dying than healthcare to disabled people.

Canada has government-run healthcare, and the Canadian government seeks to save money by withholding care to chronically ill people, leaving many to consider euthanasia as their only choice.

What is less known is that the same thing has been happening in the United States. Only it’s not the government that is trying to save money, but private insurance companies.
